Problem Statement

  • Due to increased pollutants and industrial activities, the quality of water has significantly deteriorated globally.
  • Current systems lack integrated solutions for both water level detection and quality measurement, leading to inefficient water management.
  • Further, existing methods for monitoring water levels and quality are inadequate and require enhancement through advanced, cost-effective, and user-friendly technological solutions.

Technology

  • The invention provides a remote liquid level sensor capable of measuring liquid depth within a 1cm error margin and evaluating water quality, using planar printed circuit boards (PCBs) with integrated inductance and reactance measurement capabilities.
  • The device can be installed in various environments, such as underground or on rooftops, and can operate independently by generating its own power. It supports remote data acquisition via GPS and can detect water flow, making it suitable for diverse applications including association with turbines and solar power plants.
  • The sensor’s performance is improved by using water-proof lacquer paint and leveraging the relationship between liquid level and reactance, and water quality and inductance.
